Breitling B1 backlight issue. Problem: Depressing the crown does not backlight the digital displays. I am assuming it is a battery problem at this stage, but not so sure as the EOL indicator message isn't appearing in the upper display. Battery is at least 3-4 years old. What I have noticed is that when the crown is depressed the seconds hand stops at it should and then restarts and makes up the time also as it should. The top display will show "R" and the bottom display shows the time, (an hour behind the time the hands show) allowing the time to be set using the usual controls. At this point, press the top button and the word "BAT" flashes up in the top window. HOLD the top button. the issue i see is the minutes hand lagging. when trying to set the hour hand, that moves as expected. however when setting the minute hand, there is an arbitrary spot where i am turning the crown a lot and the minute hand is advancing small amounts of 1 minute (as opposed to whole minutes).
