I saw Silix Prime mentioned as a TD on RWI so I went to take a look. Saw a few reps of older Rolex datejust and Air King models that looks okay, but they were pretty cheap (less than ) . Who currently has the best 6538 case? Still Phong or Minh, or have the Ruby/HR/Silix cases improved? And who is still around that does case reshaping too?

I am in the throes of gathering parts for a 6538 build and have started with a Helenarou 2 line gilt dial re-lumed by Big Dazza. As the dial is Helenarou I presumed I would be using a Helenarou case but I have heard good things about .
Should i go for a Rolex timepiece from Silix in the ~ range or should i wait and shell out for one of Narikaa's watches? As of now i'll be going for the DayDate ROL120 watch priced @ . Any major flaws with this model? As I like to build watches, I decided in a Silix case with a Raffaildial dial and ETA movement. This build isn't one of my favourite achievements. The dial was too pale, and I made too many changes to the case.

Since the daytona plexi is domed but lower, it makes up almost perfectly for the fact that the silix case holds the plexi much higher. No gap and no spacecraft looking dome. The optics are excellent too.
