Fitted with Rolex’s caliber 1066, its bridge features an engraved ‘M’ specific only to the Milgauss model and the bezel insert with its red triangle is calibrated correctly for 60 minutes. The present lot is a superb and a highly coveted reference that is confirmed by Rolex themselves.
The Rolex Milgauss 6541 features the same iconic honeycomb dial as the 6543, but a slightly different rotatable bezel. It was still calibrated to 60 minutes, but the zeroes were omitted–so “1-2-3-4-5” appeared on the bezel instead of “10-20-30-40-50.”
