The back of the case says "Brevet Modele Depose 8500" and I know it is a genuine Breitling because I got it from an authorised dealer all those years ago but over the years I have lost the papers and now I can't remember anything about it. The watch still works but I think the water resistant seals have long perished.
I have a watch clasp from a leather band that I think may be fake. The usual writing I have seen says in French, "MODELE DEPOSE" and under that "MANUFACTURE EN SUISSE". That is on a couple of the clasps I have. The last one has English writing "STAINLESS STEEL" and under that "SWISS MADE".

The timepiece was cleaned inside and out and a new battery was installed. Works perfectly and is absolutely beautiful! 33mm case with a 5.1 - 5.7 inch strap. Would be absolutely amazing on a women’s wrist. The watch strap was replaced with a new OEM Breitling 18mm black Sahara calfskin leather strap with buckle.
